Indie Wine Fest Chefs on KOIN Studio 6: Aaron Barnett from St. Jack

st jackHey Indie fans! This week you’ll be able to catch live cooking demos with some of this year’s featured chefs on KOIN Studio 6. It’s the perfect way to get pumped up for this weekend’s big event, and you may come away with tips and tricks to beef up your own kitchen repertoire. The chefs, including Aaron Barnett from St. Jack (Monday), Gabe Rosen from Biwa (Wednesday), and Jason French from Ned Ludd (Friday), will whip up a tasty treat during the Studio 6 segment from 4-5 pm as a preview to the dishes attendees with sample at the Indie Wine Festival this weekend. The first demo debuted yesterday, and you can watch the video and get the recipe for Aaron’s Traditional Vichyssoise here.

This Saturday, you’ll be able to taste Aaron Barnett’s festival dish, Tête de Cochon en Rillettes with Apple Compote and Grainy Mustard – so get your tickets before they’re gone!

We also asked Aaron which Indie Wine he’d pair with his featured dish:

Grochau Cellars 2008 Cuvée des Amis Pinot Noir. John always makes fantastic wine, and in a great vintage year like 2008 the result is spectacular.  His entry level WV is great too and would pair well with this dish if you want something a little more affordable.

Tune in Wednesday and Friday at 4 on KOIN channel 6 to catch our next two Indie Wine Fest featured chefs!
